Tarator Bulgarian sour milk soup

Tarator Bulgarian sour milk soup

Ingredients:

peeled walnuts – 0.5 cups
6-8 sprigs of dill
natural yoghurt – 500 ml
sunflower oil – 10 ml
salt to taste
garlic cloves – 4 PCs.
cucumber – 4 PCs.

Preparation:

Cucumber wash, dry, cut off the ends. Cut into thin strips and sprinkle with salt, so they gave the juice.

Garlic peel and grind in a mortar together with half the walnuts into a homogeneous mass.

Yogurt pour into a bowl and whisk whisk or electric mixer for 4 minutes. Put the garlic and nuts in a bowl of yogurt. Pour vegetable oil and whip.

The remaining nuts chop with a knife into fine crumbs.

Add to the soup cucumbers along with the separated juice, nuts, chopped dill, salt and mix well.

Tip If the soup turned out very thick, it can be diluted with cold boiled water.

In Bulgaria, tarator to separately submit a bowl with finely crushed ice.
