Rice with green onions, peas and zira

Rice with green onions, peas and zira

Ingredients:

2 cups long-grain rice
400 g frozen green peas
1 medium bunch green onions
1 tsp cumin seeds
vegetable oil
0.5 tsp sugar
salt

Preparation:

In a large saucepan with a thick bottom, pour 1.5 tablespoon oil, cumin seeds and sprinkle in a pinch of salt. Place over medium heat, warm up approximately 40 seconds.

Stir the rice and mix well. Pour 3 cups of boiling water, bring to a boil again, cover with a lid. Cook over high heat for 3 minutes on average -. 7 min. and at a minimum – 2 min.

Turn off the heat, cover the pan toslstym large towel, let it brew for 15 minutes.

At the same time cut green onions: white part is quite small, green – slices of 1.5 cm frying pan, heat 3 tbsp. oil Stir in peas and sugar. Cook, stirring, for 2 minutes.

Add white part of green onions, 1 min. – Green. Stir and remove from heat.

Mix peas and onions with rice and serve.
