Potatoes Rösti

Ingredients for 6 servings:

1 kg of potatoes
120 g butter
salt to taste

Preparation:

Potatoes cut into large pieces (4-6 pieces each potato). Put in a saucepan.

Fill with boiling water, put on fire and cook until soft, 5-6 minutes after boiling. Drain the water and give the potatoes to cool down to such an extent that it can be taken by hand.

While potatoes cools, melt half of the butter.

Potato three on a coarse grater.

In a frying pan or skillet (I have 28 cm diameter) warm up over medium heat 1 tbsp vegetable oil. Put the grated potatoes in three layers, each add some salt to taste and pour the butter. On top of the perimeter decompose sliced ​​into pieces remaining butter.

Fry over medium heat until golden brown bottom, about 5-6 minutes. Then turn over and fry the other side for another 5-6 minutes.

Ready potatoes give stand in pan for 5-7 minutes, then passed on to a dish, slice and serve.
