Meatball turkey in a spicy tomato sauce with cheese

Ingredients

for the meatballs:

minced turkey meat – 500 g
Chicken Eggs – 1 pc.
Breadcrumbs – 2 tbsp
Dried Oregano – 1 tsp
Fresh basil, finely chop – 2 tbsp
Cumin – 1 tsp
Dijon mustard – 1 tsp
Garlic salt – 1/2 tsp
Black pepper – 1/4 tsp
Cayenne red pepper – 1/4 tsp
Flakes of red pepper – 1/2 tsp

for the sauce:

Tomato sauce or any pasta sauce (marinara approach) – 450 g
Basil, chop – 4-5 large leaves
Oregano – 1 tsp
Flakes of red pepper – 1/2 tsp
Sliced ​​mushrooms (optional) – 250 g
Burrata cheese or mozzarella, cut into large pieces – 120-170 g

Preparation:

Heat the oven to 200 degrees.

In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients for the meatballs. Make small balls (16-22 pcs.). Put on a baking sheet, greased, and bake for 15 minutes.

At this time, prepare the sauce. Heat a frying pan over medium heat and pour the tomato sauce.

Add the remaining ingredients for the sauce, including mushrooms, oregano and any other seasonings to taste. The sauce should thicken.

When the meatballs are baked, to shift them to the frying pan into the sauce.

Pour each meatball sauce, top with basil leaves. Lay chaotic cheese sauce and meatballs.

Continue to cook over medium heat for about 5 minutes, until the cheese melts.

Serve meatballs with vegetables, pasta, or as a separate dish.
