Chicken with rice in tomato sauce


– 6 legs
– 2 large sweet pepper
– 1 large onion
– 2-3 cloves of garlic
– 250 grams of rice
– 400 grams of tomatoes in their own juice
– 2 teaspoons of ground sweet paprika
– 1/3 teaspoon of red hot pepper
– 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
– Salt to taste


Prepare the marinade. To this mix oil, paprika, pepper and salt. Coated with this mass of legs, pre-cut into 2 parts each, cover with a lid and leave to marinate for 40-60 minutes.

While the chicken is marinated, finely chop the onion and pepper, grind the garlic.

Feet fry on both sides until golden brown in oil (invert 2-3 times each piece).

Remove from the pan and set aside to the side. In the same pan fry for 3-4 minutes, onion and garlic.

Add the chopped peppers and fry for another 3 minutes. Add the rice and keep on the heat for another 5 minutes. Add the mashed tomatoes in a saucepan with the juice and 250 ml of water.

Put the skillet to the vegetables and chicken rice, salt to taste and bring to a boil.

Cover with a lid, reduce the heat and simmer until cooked rice and chicken, approximately 25-30 minutes. If necessary, add water in the process.
