Chicken in creamy mustard sauce

The dish is easy to prepare. It turns easily, quickly, and very tasty.


  • Chicken fillet – 400 g
  • Sunflower oil – 3-4 tbsp
  • Sour cream – 2-3 tbsp
  • French mustard – 1 tablespoon
  • Flour – 1 tbsp
  • Salt and pepper – to taste.


Cut the chicken into medium-sized cubes.

Fry it on the hot pan in sunflower oil.

I usually fry it until golden brown. It takes an average of 10-15 minutes. No need to hurry and cook over high heat, better let it slowly becomes a golden color, but it is better to warm up during this time

When the chicken browned, add flour.

Thoroughly mix the chicken with flour, and fry for some time, 2-3 minutes.

Add the boiled water. It should be just the boiled.

Good mix all the contents of our pans to the flour dissolved in water and left lumps. I should get a whitish homogeneous sauce.

Now add the sour cream and mix well all.

Finally, the highlight of my recipe – French mustard. It is sometimes called Dijon. Its main feature – the presence of mustard seeds. Its taste can range from sweet to very spicy. I use mostly French mustard company Heinz, because it is very aromatic and spicy.

Add the mustard, so our hen.

And all is well mixed.

Cover with a lid and simmer until cooked chicken. If in the process of extinguishing the sauce evaporates and you think that it is not enough, you can add a little cream 10% fat.

The finished chicken is best served with rice or mashed potatoes
