Baked bread with garlic

1/2 Cup butter, softened to room temperature
3 heads of garlic
2 tablespoons olive oil
400 g loaf
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
1 Cup grated cheese (good to use Romano or Parmesan)
1/8 teaspoon salt

1. Remove butter from refrigerator to soften it. Preheat the oven to 170S.

2. Cut off the tops of heads of garlic so that the tip of each clove was visible. Place the heads on a baking sheet, covered with foil, and drizzle with olive oil. Bake for 50 minutes, or until garlic is tender.

3. When the garlic has cooled, squeeze garlic cloves from skins and coarsely chop.

4. Grate the cheese and chop the parsley. Combine the butter, garlic, cheese, parsley and salt.

5. Slice the bread and lay the slices on the baking sheet. Preheat the oven to 240S or turn on the grill.

6. Spread garlic butter on slices of bread.

7. Bake in the oven or under the grill for 3-4 minutes or until toasted.

Bon appetit!
